Parents,
We have made it through our first week of studying our multiplication facts! Each week we will send home flash cards over chosen facts that need to be studied for the week. The goal is by the end of 3rd grade your child will have their facts mastered! Each week we will take a timed multiplication test over the facts studied. Please help your child study 5-10 minutes each night! Today we will take our 2's & 5's test :) Thank you for you help and happy studying!
Thanks!

2nd Six Weeks
Wow!! The first six weeks is complete! We are now into the second six weeks and things are moving right along! This week with Mrs. Macat we have been working on addition, subtraction, and temperature. With Mrs. Mouser we are learning about biographies and working with ir, ur, and er words. This week we began working on our Guided Math and Guided Reading groups so ask your child what they did during their group time. It will vary from day to day but we are using this time for interventions and enrichment to meet your childs needs the best we can.
Also, be looking for a permission form to come home this week about posting pictures of your child on our blog!

Remind 101 Text Messages
Have you ever heard of Remind 101?? This is something new that we are implementing this year and we hope that you sign up for it. Remind 101 allows you to receive text messages from us reminding you of important events, dates, homework assignments, etc... This will be a nice feature if we forget to send a note home, or if the note never makes it home LOL, or if we forget to tell your child something before the end of school. It is totally free to sign up but standard text message charges apply.
You will need to sign up to receive messages from both Mrs. Macat and Mrs. Mouser so you will have all subjects covered!

Welcome to Third Grade!
Welcome to Mrs. Mouser and Mrs. Macat's third grade blog. We are so excited to start this new school year and get to know your child. We use this blog as a communication tool between school and home. Instead of sending weekly newsletters we will put all of that information on this blog. Anything regarding homework and due dates, upcoming events, important notes, etc. will be updated weekly to keep you informed. Along with the day to day housekeeping information we will also use the blog to show you what we are doing in classroom. You will get to see and hear all about what is going on at school.
Not only will we update the blog but throughout the year, your child will have the opportunity to do so as well. We want you to hear from them about the things they are learning and experiencing in the classroom. They get very excited about the cool new things they are doing and love sharing that with their family.
Please feel free to comment on posts that you read. We love getting feedback and hearing from you, the parent.
Thank you for sharing your child with us and we look forward to meeting you on Thursday, August 23rd from 4:00-6:30.
